Perfection Feels Too Ordinary a Goal

Rihanna was featured and she killed it with this closing idea; "When something feels real, you don't make any apologies for it. When it feels good to you, nothing else matters. Everything else is just noise."

I'm digging the ties on women...
There was a feature on Mary-Kate and Ashley's new line The Row but what I really loved was this quote about their commitment to the business: "If Malcolm Gladwell is correct about the way children who put in 10,000 hours of specialist study become outliers in later life, then the knowledge she absorbed virtually qualified her for an MBA before the age of sixteen [(referring to Ashley Olsen)]."
I was already obsessed. I love nothing more than their chic, petite, drowning grunge look.

Angelina Tattoos
So when it comes down to the eternal rivalry of are you with Angelina or Jen I was always with Jen. I still am...but recently I learned a bit about Angelina's tats. It's pretty freakin rad...check these out:
It is a Buddhist Pali incantation written in Khmer script, the language of Cambodia. It is there to protect her and her adopted Cambodian son Maddox from bad luck.
Here's the translation:
May your enemies run far away from you.
If you acquire riches, may they remain yours always.
Your beauty will be that of Apsara.
Wherever you may go, many will attend, serve and protect you, surrounding you on all sides.
This tattoo on her left underarm is the Roman number 13. She had it done because she doesn't believe in superstitions.
This tattoo on Jolie's left arm are the words of Tennessee Williams:
"A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages."
My absolute fave.
This cross tattoo covers the little dragon with the blue tongue she had done in Amsterdam. Next to it is a phrase in Latin:
"Quod me nutrit me destruit", meaning "What nourishes me, destroys me."
These numbers are the geographical coordinates (longitudes and latitudes) from the locations where her children first entered her life.
1. N11° 33' 00" E104° 51' 00" : the place in Cambodia where Angelina Jolie's eldest son Maddox was born.
2. N09° 02' 00" E038° 45' 00" : the place in Ethiopia were her daughter Zahara was born.

Strip Me
Some artists have an ability to speak directly to your soul. It's strange because it's something that can't be defined or described. You hear it, see it, experience it, and you just know--IT, they've got it.
It's like trying to describe a good run, an amazing sexual experience, or trying a favorite food for the first time. It's innate connections inside of us, that we're unable to explain. These same small magnets also provide strength when we're at our weakest...
Sometimes I look back on an experience and wonder how in the hell I had the strength to maintain or overcome that specific blow. I often wonder if I literally was capable, if I had the strength all along, or if specific circumstances, conversations, and people in my life lead me to be different for that one very unique situation. The point of life, is to take these motivators, impending lessons, and with renewed hope, use them for the next time around...because the wind never stops. And while it is false that we cannot control where we're blown, you will always feel the chill or the impact from independent decay all around us.

Social connection: keeping the world aware and alive, bringing meaning from person to person in countries all over the globe.
Media is what creates the human connection. Truth in the media, is the proof of a society's conscience.
Human connection enables the purpose of the human experience.
When the sun's in the sky, it makes for happy endings.
Journalism should urge and inspire a society. It pushes integrity and progress.
If you gave it your best shot, you'll leave empty handed.
